Skin Cancer Clinic

We will guide you through our systematic approach to skin cancers in a caring and compassionate environment.
The process usually includes:
  1. Skin cancer and mole checks: Clinical examination with the aid of dermoscopy.
  2. Diagnosis confirmation: Once we have examined you, the doctor will decide if a biopsy is needed to confirm a diagnosis.
  3. Treatment: A variety of treatment options are provided depending on the nature of the lesion.
Procedures:
  • Solar keratosis cryotherapy
  • Treatment of other skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. These often need to be removed surgically. Subsequent repair of the wound may need skin graft and/or skin flap depending on the size and location of the lesion.
  • Excisional biopsy of malignant melanoma. Referral to Melanoma Unit for opinion. Definitive treatment with wide excision.
